DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE WILMINGTON CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY

DSP News Release: Detectives Investigate Wilmington Convenience Store Robbery
Location: 7-11, 3865 Governor Printz Boulevard, Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 11:55 p.m.
Suspects:
-Suspect #1: Black male, 18-25 years of age, 6’04”-6’05” tall, 160-180 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, black baseball cap, and had a white cloth covering his face. He was also armed with an unknown make and model hand gun.
-Suspect #2: Black male, 18-25 years of age, 5’09”-5’11” tall, 160-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat with white stripes, a white long sleeved t-shirt, dark shoes, black sneakers, and had a white cloth covering his face.
Victim: 44 year old employee
Resume: Wilmington- Delaware State Police detectives are currently investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area convenience store that occurred late last night.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m. last night, Sunday, June 12, as two male suspects entered the 7-11 convenience store located in the 3800 block of Governor Printz Boulevard, Wilmington. One of the suspects jumped the sales counter and displayed a handgun. The suspect then confronted a 44 year old store employee and demanded cash from the registers. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. As this was occurring, the second suspect removed several cigars from display and then fled the store along with the first suspect in an unknown direction. The store clerk, as well as three other persons in the store at the time of the robbery, were not injured.
