Resume: Bridgeville-Delaware State Police’s Sussex County Drug Unit and Sussex County Governor’s Task Force have just wrapped up a 12 month investigation into a cocaine delivery organization operating out of the Coverdale Crossroads Community just off of Coverdale Road Bridgeville Delaware.
Wednesday June 8, 2011 the Delaware State Police and New Castle County SWAT Teams entered 3 Bridgeville residences located on Nat Turner Drive, Jones Dogwood Drive and Booker T. Washington Street.
When SWAT members invaded the Booker T. Washington Street residence, Miguel Serpa-27 of Bridgeville was taken into custody. Delaware State Police had active arrest warrants for Serpa, for Delivery of Cocaine (8 counts).
After searching Miguel Serpa’s residence a Glock Model 22 .40 caliber semiautomatic pistol, drug paraphernalia and $9,003 United States Currency were seized.
Antonio Serpa-32 of Bridgeville was located after executing a search warrant in the 12000 block of Nat Turner Drive. Serpa also had active warrants consisting of 6 counts of Delivery of Cocaine.
As a result of searching the Nat Turner Drive residence a Ruger .22 caliber revolver, .25 caliber Calwest Company pistol .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, .410 caliber Western field shotgun, 12 gauge Sears shotgun, 12 gauge sawed off Mossberg shotgun, 4.1 grams of crack cocaine, small amount of marijuana and $55,425.oo United States Currency were seized.
The Jones Dogwood Drive residence resulted with the seizure of drug paraphernalia and a small quantity of marijuana.
Miguel and Antonio Serpa were both charged with numerous crimes related to the Delivery of Cocaine, Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping Controlled Substances, Weapons offenses, possession of drug paraphernalia and Conspiracy. Miguel Serpa was remanded to the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $109,000 cash bond. Antonio Serpa was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional institute in lieu of 128,000 cash bond.
