DSP News Release: Troopers Arrest Five for Marijuana Possession, Leipsic
Location: Unit block of South West Street, Leipsic, DE
Date of Occurrence: Thursday July 12, 2012 at approximately 2:50 p.m.
Defendant, Charges, and Bond Information:
Arraigned at JP2 and released on $8,500.00 unsecured bond.
Arraigned at JP2 and released on $6,000.00 unsecured bond.
Arraigned at JP2 and released on $2,500.00 unsecured bond.
Arraigned at JP2 and released on $6,500.00 unsecured bond.
Released to a family member after being issued a criminal summons.
Leipsic, DE- The Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) has arrested five people after marijuana was found outside a home.
Information was received by GTF members that marijuana was being grown in a garden outside a residence located on the unit block of South West Street in Leipsic. When the Detectives and Probation and Parole Officers arrived, the marijuana was clearly visible from the roadway. The four marijuana plants were approximately 6 - 8 feet high and weighed a total of 8 lbs. Through further investigation, it was determined that the residence was owned by Tony Mozick Sr. who was taken into custody near the house.
Tony Mozick Jr., was taken into custody after he was located at another residence on Denny Street in Leipsic where he was residing with Jeremy Delinois, Louis J. Bourdon, and a 17 year old female. Detectives were given permission to search the house and located an additional marijuana plant weighing approximately 15 grams, two 12 gauge shotguns, and various drug paraphernalia.
All four adults were transported back to Troop 3 in Dover where they were process for the above listed charges and later released on unsecured bonds after being arraigned a JP2. The 17 year old female was released to a family member on a criminal summons.
