DSP News Release:  Two Suffer Minor Injuries in Rollover Accident

Location: Northbound I-95 south of DE Rt. 141, Newport, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:20 a.m.

New Castle- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a three vehicle accident in which two people were injured that occurred late this morning in New Castle.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. as Pavel Mostovoy was operating a 2011 Honda CRV and was traveling on I-95 northbound just north of the Churchman’s Marsh in the right hand lane. Mostovoy’s vehicle was then cut off by an unknown make and model truck that had made a lane change from the right center lane into the right lane. Mostovoy lost control of his vehicle and traveled across all of the northbound lanes. As the vehicle was traveling across the northbound lanes, it struck a 2006 Ford Explorer that was being operated by Beverly Culbert. Mostovoy’s vehicle then overturned, trapping him as well as his wife, Liliana Mostovoy, 69, in the car until they could be removed by EMS.

Pavel Mostovoy and his wife were then transported to the Christiana Hospital where they were treated for non life threatening injuries. There were no other injuries. The two left lanes of northbound I-95 were closed for approximately 50 minutes as the crash was investigated and cleared.

The residence of Pavel Mostovoy as well as Brian Dugas is not known at this time.

This crash remains under investigation.

DSP News Release:  Troopers on Scene of Two Vehicle Crash on Interstate

Location: Northbound I-95 south of DE Rt. 141, Newport, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:40 a.m.

Resume:   

Newport- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a personal injury accident on I-95 near Newport.

Initial information is that the crash involves two vehicles, one which overturned, trapping the occupants. EMS is on the scene attempting to free the trapped subjects. The two left hand lanes of northbound I-95 are currently closed and commuters are asked to seek alternate means of travel.

More detailed information will be released after it is received.
