ROBBERY DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP

DSP News Release: Robbery Detectives Seek Public’s Help
Location: Check N Go, 1509 Beaver Brook Plaza, New Castle, DE
Date of Occurrence: Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 1:40 p.m.
Suspect: Black male, 25-30 years of age, 5’10”-6’00” tall. He was last seen wearing a red short sleeved button up shirt, blue khaki shorts, a New York Yankees baseball cap, and sunglasses. He was also armed with a silver handgun.
Victim: 23 year old female clerk
Resume: New Castle- The Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect who robbed a check cashing business early this afternoon in New Castle.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. this afternoon as a male suspect entered the Check N Go located at 1509 Beaver Brook Plaza, New Castle. The suspect displayed a silver handgun and confronted a 23 year old female clerk. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk. The male suspect then left the business and was last seen fleeing toward the development of Llangolen Green. The clerk was not injured.
The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact Detective Dave Myers at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 250 or ext. 6.
