DSP News Release: Detectives Release Surveillance Photos of Robbery Suspect

Wilmington- Delaware State Police robbery detectives have released surveillance photographs of the suspect who robbed the 7-11 convenience store located in the 2500 block of Kirkwood Highway on Friday, July 15, 2011.

 

The State Police are asking anyone who may recognize this suspect to contact Detective David Myers at 302-834-2630 ext. 254 or ext. 6. Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).  Tipsters may also provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. Callers can also submit information via the internet at www.tipsubmit.com.

DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Convenience Store Robbery

 

Location: 7-11 Store, 2510 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

 

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Friday, July 15, 2011 at 2:50 a.m.

 

Suspect:  White male, 20-30 years of age, 6’00” tall with a thin build and brown hair.  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and had a white face mask covering his face.

 

Victim: 24 year old male employee

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area convenience store that occurred early this morning.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. this morning as a male suspect entered the 7-11 Store located in the 2500 block of Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington. The suspect approached the sales counter and confronted the 24 year old clerk. He then demanded cash from the store register. No weapon was displayed. The clerk complied with the suspects’ demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then fled from the store. He was last seen running through the parking lot of the store towards Elizabeth Avenue. There were no injuries.

 

Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the robbery unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6.  Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).  Tipsters may also provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
