TROOPERS SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS IN MULTIPLE SHOPLIFTING INCIDENTS

DSP News Release: Troopers Search for Suspects in Multiple Shoplifting Incidents
Locations:
-Walgreens Pharmacy, 4114 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE -Walgreens Pharmacy, 287 Christiana Road, New Castle, DE -Dollar General, 1679 Pulaski Highway, Bear, DE
Date and Times of Occurrences: Thursday, July 21, 2011 between 10:55 a.m. and 12:35 p.m.
Suspects:
Suspect #1: Black male, 6’01”-6’02” tall, 150-160 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown “Maui” t-shirt, black shoes, and a black rag on his head.
Suspect #2: Black female, 5’04”-5’05” tall, 170-180 lbs, with long black hair. She was last seen wearing an aqua tank top style shirt, a black skirt, and sandals.
Suspect #3: Black female, 5’07”-5’08” tall, 110-120 lbs, with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a silver t-shirt with writing on the front, tan shorts, and black basketball shoes.
Suspect #4: Black female, 22-27 years of age, 5’04”-5’05” tall, 160-180 lbs, with long black hair. She was last seen wearing tan shorts, a black tank top style shirt, and sandals.
Resume: Newark/New Castle/Bear- The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying four suspects who shoplifted merchandise from three separate locations yesterday.
The incidents began at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, as a male suspect entered the Walgreens Pharmacy located in the 4100 block of Ogletown-Stanton Road, in Newark. The suspect then proceeded to remove approximately $160.00 worth of skin products from a display and placed them in a bag. The suspect then fled from the store to a waiting vehicle described as a silver Honda CRV, which then fled from the parking lot.
At approximately 12:10 p.m. yesterday, the same male suspect, as well as three female suspects, entered the Walgreens Pharmacy located in the 200 block of Christiana Road, in New Castle. The suspects again removed skin products and other merchandise valued at approximately $150.00 from display. They then placed the merchandise in bags and fled from the store to the silver Honda CRV before fleeing the lot in an unknown direction.
At 12:30 p.m. the same male suspect and one of the three female suspects entered the Dollar General store located in the 1600 block of Pulaski Highway, in Bear. Again they proceeded to remove approximately $40.00 worth of merchandise from display, concealed it in a bag and then fled after being confronted by store employees. They again entered the silver Honda, which was being operated by another female suspect, and then fled from the parking lot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.
The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to these incidents to contact Troop 2 at 302-834-2620 ext. 0 or Troop 6 at 302-633-5000 ext. 0.
