Ahmad Othman Extortion Suspect Apprehended

Updated Resume 07/21/11: Lewes-Delaware State Police around 11:20 a.m. returned to Othman’s residence in Lewes where he was taken into custody without incident.
Othman was arraigned on 20 charges related to Extortion and theft then committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $14,500 secured bond.

Additional Resume Information: Lewes-Wednesday July 20, 2011 Delaware State Police was again contacted by the 15 year old Lewes teenager concerning ongoing threats received from Ahmad Othman of Lewes.
The victim told Troopers she has received an additional 13 text messages from Othman requesting money. Othman continues to make threats to the victim if she does not pay him money.

Resume: Lewes-Delaware State Police are looking for information on the whereabouts of Ahmad Othman-18 of Lewes Delaware. Othman is sought by Troopers for criminal acts reported to police on Monday July 18, 2011.
On Monday July 18th Delaware State Police was contacted by the 15 year old victim, who advised she was initially introduced to Othman through an acquaintance. The victim further told Troopers that one day Othman showed up to her place of employment and told her he was “Mob” affiliated and she needed to pay him money.
Othman additionally would text the victim when he needed to be paid. Othman would pick the victim up in his vehicle then take her to a nearby bank so that the victim could cash her paychecks. Othman threatened to have the victim killed if she did not cooperate.
Othman has appropriated over $1,200.00 United States Currency from the victim. Delaware State Police obtained arrest warrants for Othman and are actively searching for him.
