UPDATE MISSING HARRINGTON WOMAN LOCATED AND CHARGED

Updated Resume 07/20/11: Dover/Harrington-The missing Harrington Delaware woman Jodie N. Brown reported missing to the Harrington Police Department has been located. Brown also wanted by Delaware State Police on criminal charges was formally charged Tuesday evening July 19th.
State Police detectives after receiving information from an anonymous source searched two hotel rooms at the Capital Inn located at 1426 N. DuPont Highway Dover Delaware. State Police located Jodie N. Brown, her husband John V. Brown and their four children. The children are safe and have been turned over to the Division of Family Services.
Jodie Brown was charged with Identity Theft, Theft and Escape 3rd degree along with several other court capiases. Jodie’s husband John Brown was also charged by State Police detectives for Hindering Prosecution and Conspiracy 3rd degree.
Following arraignment proceedings Jodie Brown was remanded to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institute on $13,000 cash bond and John Brown was released on $1,500 unsecured bond.

DSP News Release: Missing Harrington Woman Also Sought by State Police
Resume: Harrington-Missing Harrington woman Jodie N. Brown is also currently being sought by the Delaware State Police.
Delaware State Police have active arrest warrants for Brown who is being sought for Identity Theft, Theft, Conspiracy 3rd and Escape 3rd. Brown is alleged to have opened a Mediacom Cable account using the victim’s name and personal information.
State Police during their investigation linked Brown as a lease holder at the location where the cable service was being provided. Over $500.00 in cable service was wrongfully charged under the victim’s name.
The Harrington Police Department is currently conducting a missing person’s investigation on Jodie Brown. Please contact the Harrington Police Department for the details surrounding Brown’s missing person status.

Resume: Greenwood-Delaware State Police are searching for Jodie N. Brown-40 formally of Dagsboro and Smyrna Delaware. Delaware State Police began an investigation into identity theft which led to the identification of Brown as the suspect.
Brown is alleged to have opened a Mediacom Cable account using the victim’s name and personal information. State Police during their investigation linked Brown as a lease holder at the location where the cable service was being provided.
