TROOPERS INVESTIGATE CHINESE RESTAURANT ROBBERY


DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigate Chinese Restaurant Robbery 

 

Location:

·         Evergreen Chinese Restaurant, 1415 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:07 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         40 year old male employee

 

Suspect:

·         Black male, 6’0”-6’02” tall, thin build.  He was last seen wearing all dark clothing and had a dark mask covering his face.

 

 

Resume:

New Castle-The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a 40 year old employee of the Evergreen Chinese Restaurant that occurred Wednesday evening in New Castle.

 

The incident occurred as the 40 year old male employee was exiting the business carrying a bank deposit bag containing restaurant receipts and an undisclosed amount of US Currency.  The victim was confronted by the suspect who demanded the deposit bag and implied that he had a handgun.  The suspect grabbed the deposit bag from the victim and fled on foot through the parking lot.  The victim was not injured.
