Resume:

Lewes-Delaware State Police Tuesday July 12, 2011 responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and passenger car.  The crash occurred around 5:25 pm on Coastal Highway just N/O Postal Lane Lewes Delaware.

The investigation revealed that Theodore A. Wishin-51 of Frederica was northbound on Coastal Highway on his 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.  Andriy B. Borodchak was exiting the Bethany Blues parking lot attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Coastal Highway in order to reach the left turn lane. 

Borodchak was driving a 2005 Acura and failed to observe Wishin’s motorcycle traveling north.  The Acura and Harley-Davidson collided, ejecting Wishin and catapulting his bike into the southbound lane of Coastal Highway. 

Wishin sustained a fractured leg and severe head trauma as a result of the crash.  Wishin was flown to Christiana Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  Wishin was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. 

Borodchak was not injured and was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way then released.
