DSP News Release: Harrington Man Charged for Unlawful Sexual Contact

Resume: Harrington-Delaware State Police Friday evening July 8th charged James A. Pearson-22 of Harrington Delaware following a sexual contact complaint. State Police learned the incident occurred at a residence in the 400 block of Pleasant Pine Drive Harrington around 10 pm.
The investigation revealed Pearson was visiting the residence of the victim when the alleged offense occurred. Pearson and the victim were alone in a room watching a movie when he made inappropriate and unwanted advances toward the victim.
The 16 year old Harrington teenager attempted to flee, however Pearson restrained her preventing the victim from being able to freely leave. The victim eventually was able to escape the residence and contact police.
Following the State Police investigation arrest warrants for Pearson were obtained and he was taken into custody at his residence without incident. Pearson was charged with Unlawful Sexual Contact and Unlawful Imprisonment then remanded to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $6,500.00 secured bond. |
