Dover-Monday July 4, 2011 around 10 p.m. Delaware State Police responded to a robbery complaint in the 2000 block of Generals Way Dover Delaware.

When Troopers arrived they discovered that a 19 year old Domino’s Pizza employee was robbed at gunpoint and an undisclosed amount of United States Currency and pizzas were taken from him.

The investigation revealed when the victim exited his car he was approached by three black males, one of which displayed a handgun and placed it against the victim’s head.  The suspect holding the gun demanded money, while the other two suspects removed pizzas, a cellular phone and car keys from the victim’s car.  Following the robbery the suspects fled in a westerly direction through the apartment complex parking lot.

Dover Police K-9 “Spike” and his handler responded to the robbery scene and performed a K-9 track.  K-9 “Spike” led Troopers to the residence of Diandre L. Willis of Dover who resides on the 2000 block of Generals Way.

Delaware State Police through a subsequent inquiry into the phone number used when placing the pizza order discovered it was registered to a relative of Willis’.  Delaware State Troopers searched the residence and surrounding areas however were unable to locate Willis.

State Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Willis and around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday July 5th apprehended him at his residence.  Willis was arraigned on Robbery First Degree, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy, Theft and Offensive Touching.  Willis is currently being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $57,000 secured bond.
