Updated Resume: Dagsboro-Delaware State Police Monday July 4th investigated a crash at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and US 113 northbound Dagsboro Delaware.
The crash occurred around 8:44 pm when a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on US 113. The second vehicle involved was a 1999 Ford Escort driven by Heather M. Reynolds of Berlin Maryland.
Reynolds was westbound on Delaware Avenue and was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of US 113. Reynolds initially stopped at a stop sign at this intersection then proceeded across.
When Reynolds pulled out into the roadway she was struck on the driver’s side door by the motorcycle. The motorcyclist James A. Cannon was ejected.
Cannon suffered head trauma and was transported by ambulance to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
Reynolds the Escort operator was taken via Life Net Helicopter to Christiana Hospital and is also listed in critical condition.
State Police investigators are continuing their investigation. US 113 northbound was closed for several hours while the scene was being investigated.
Updated Resume: Laurel-Delaware State Police Monday July 4th around 9:20 pm investigated a crash between a 2006 Ford pickup truck and a bicyclist. The crash occurred on Bethel Road just east of Woodland Ferry Road.
The investigation revealed that Sean L. Meding-41 of Seaford Delaware was initially stopped at a stop sign on Woodland Ferry Road. Meding driving a Ford pickup truck turned eastbound onto Bethel Road and crashed into a bicyclist.
The bicyclist Wyatt C. Sutton-36 of Seaford Delaware was peddling westbound on Bethel Road in the eastbound lane of travel.
Sutton’s bicycle struck the front of the Ford pickup truck causing him to be ejected. Sutton was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and treated for a head injury. Sutton who was unconscious at the scene is listed in critical condition.
Delaware State Police charged Meding with Vehicular Assault 1st Degree and Driving a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol. Meding was released after posting $2,000 secured bond.

Resume: Dagsboro/Laurel-Delaware State Police are currently investigating two serious motor vehicle crashes, one in Dagsboro and the other around Laurel Delaware.
Delaware State Police just after 9 pm responded to the intersection of US 113 northbound and Lazy Lagoon Road. A preliminary investigation indicates the crash occurred between a motorcycle and passenger vehicle.
One patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police Aviation while a second patient was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center Salisbury Maryland and both are listed in critical.
US 113 northbound traffic between Catman’s Road and Lazy Lagoon Road is currently being diverted and motorist should expect delays for an undetermined amount of time.
Delaware State Police around 9:28 pm responded to a serious crash at the intersection of Woodland Ferry Road and Bethel Road Laurel Delaware. This crash involved a passenger vehicle and bicyclist.
One patient is listed in critical condition suffering a head injury.
The intersection of Woodland Ferry Road and Bethel Road are currently closed due to the ongoing crash investigation. Motorist traveling along these roads should expect delays.
