TROOPERS INVESTIGATE GAS STATION ROBBERY


DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Gas Station Robbery

 

Location: Exxon Station, 4830 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  Sunday, July 4, 2011 at 6:10 a.m.

 

Suspect:  White male, 18-25 years of age, 6’01” tall, 165 lbs, with blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, and had an eyebrow ring over his left eye.

 

Victim: 19 year old male (employee)

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Wilmington area gas station that occurred yesterday evening.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. yesterday, July 4, as a male suspect entered the Exxon Station located in the 4800 block of Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE. The suspect approached the 19 year old male clerk and implied that he was armed. He then demanded cash from the store register. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and opened the cash register at which time the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The suspect then fled and was last seen running in a southbound direction. The clerk was not injured.
