DELAWARE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING TWO SERIOUS CRASHES


DSP News Release:  Delaware State Police Investigating Two Serious Crashes

  • US 113 and Lazy Lagoon Road Dagsboro, Delaware 
  • Woodland Ferry Road at Bethel Road Laurel, Delaware

Resume:

Dagsboro/Laurel-Delaware State Police are currently investigating two serious motor vehicle crashes, one in Dagsboro and the other around Laurel Delaware. 

 

Delaware State Police just after 9 pm responded to the intersection of US 113 northbound and Lazy Lagoon Road.  A preliminary investigation indicates the crash occurred between a motorcycle and passenger vehicle. 

 

One patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police Aviation while a second patient was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center Salisbury Maryland and both are listed in critical. 

 

US 113 northbound traffic between Catman’s Road and Lazy Lagoon Road is currently being diverted and motorist should expect delays for an undetermined amount of time. 

 

Delaware State Police around 9:28 pm responded to a serious crash at the intersection of Woodland Ferry Road and Bethel Road Laurel Delaware.  This crash involved a passenger vehicle and bicyclist. 

 

One patient is listed in critical condition suffering a head injury. 

 

The intersection of Woodland Ferry Road and Bethel Road are currently closed due to the ongoing crash investigation.  Motorist traveling along these roads should expect delays.
