DSP News Release:  Troopers on Scene of Serious Motor Vehicle Collision

Location: Washington Street Extension just west of Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 6:30 a.m.

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred this morning on the Washington Street Extension.

Initial information is that the crash involves a truck and a pedestrian and occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. The crash has Washington Street Extension closed between Philadelphia Pike and Mt. Pleasant High School. Commuters are asked to find alternate means of travel as the accident is being investigated.
