Delaware State Police detectives have released surveillance photos of a male suspect who attempted to rob the Dunkin Donuts located on Pulaski Highway in Newark on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Detectives are asking anyone who may recognize this suspect to contact Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Attempted Robbery in Newark
Location: Dunkin Donuts, 2462 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE
Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 4:30 a.m.
Victim: 27 year old Elkton, MD woman
Suspect: Black male, 20-25 years of age, 6’00”-6’02” tall, 160-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black leather jacket, dark blue or black skinny jeans, black sneakers, and had a blue t-shirt covering his face. He was also armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

Newark- Delaware State Police detectives are investigating the attempted robbery of the Dunkin Donuts located in Newark that occurred early yesterday morning.
The incident occurred as a male suspect entered the Dunkin Donuts located in the 2400 block of Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE at approximately 4:30 a.m. and pointed a gun at a 27 year old female employee. The suspect motioned for the victim to open the cash register, however, the victim turned and ran toward the office area located in the rear of the shop. The suspect then jumped over the sales counter and attempted to open the cash register on his own. However, he was not successful and fled the business without getting any money. The victim was not injured.
