DSP News Release:  Troopers Probe Fulton Bank Robbery

Location: Fulton Bank, 3812 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Friday, January 7, 2011 at 0907 hours   

Victim:  Unidentified bank employee

Suspect:  White Male, 35-40 years of age, medium skin tone, 5’09” tall, stocky build.  He was last scene wearing a red, white, and dark colored jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt or jacket, and dark pants.  He was armed with an unknown club style weapon.

Wilmington- Delaware State Police Robbery Detectives are investigating a robbery of the Fulton Bank located at 3812 Kirkwood Highway that occurred this morning.

The incident occurred as a male suspect entered the bank and approached the unidentified teller.  He then demanded money from the teller and displayed a club style weapon.  The teller was unable to open the cash drawer.  The suspect then jumped over the counter and opened the cash drawer, removing an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.   The teller was not injured.
