Resume:

Lewes-Delaware State Police Tuesday January4, 2011 charged William A. Dutton-19 of Ellendale and Steven D. Gregson-20 of Lincoln Delaware for 7 burglaries which occurred in two Lewes Delaware communities.

The burglaries were committed between October and December of 2010 on several streets within Sweet Briar and Whispering Pines mobile home parks Lewes Delaware.   Delaware State Police learned that during these burglaries Dutton and Gregson would force entry into the mobile homes in a variety of ways by either prying open doors or breaking windows.  In one burglary it was reported that a window AC unit had been pushed through a window to gain entry.

Once Dutton and Gregson entered these residences they would rummage through different rooms and dresser drawers taking items such as alcohol, money, DVDs, electronic equipment and 1 shotgun.

Additionally, Delaware State Police had previously arrested both William Dutton and Steven Gregson in late December for burglaries committed by them.  Dutton and Gregson at that time were known to have committed 3 burglaries also in the Sweetbriar development.  Delaware State Police subsequently were able to link Dutton and Gregson to the current burglaries that they are now being charged with committing.

Dutton and Gregson were both arrested Tuesday January 4, 2011 on 26 and 24 criminal charges respectively relating to Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief and Conspiracy.  Dutton was released on $26,000 after being charged.  Gregson was also released on $38,850 bond.
