DSP News Release:  Troopers on Scene of Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident

Location: DE Rt. 4 at Prides Crossing Drive, Newark, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Tuesday, January 04, 2011 at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Resume:   

Newark- The Delaware State Police are currently on the scene of a two vehicle fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning. The accident occurred on DE Rt. 4 at Prides Crossing Drive and has Rt. 4 closed in both directions. Commuters are asked to use alternate routes of travel. Preliminary information is that one person has died in the crash.

Investigators are still on the scene. More information will be released after it is received.
