TROOPERS PROBE ROBBERY OF GAS STATION

DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Robbery of Gas Station
Location: Shore Stop, 1491 S. Governors Avenue, Dover, DE
Date of Occurrence: Friday, December 31, 2010 at 3:20 p.m.
Victim: 19 year old Dover male
Suspects: Black male, 5’05”-5’07” tall, 140 lbs., thin build, short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and was armed with a knife.
Resume:
Dover- The Delaware State Police is investigating the robbery of the Valero gas station on S. Governors Avenue in Dover that occurred yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. as a male suspect entered the Shore Stop (Valero) located in the 1400 block of S. Governors Avenue. The suspect displayed a knife and confronted the 19 year old male clerk. He then demanded money from the cash register. The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled the store. The clerk was not injured.
