DSP News Release: I-495 Open after Crash

 

Resume:

Claymont, DE- The southbound lanes of I-495 at the I-95 split in Claymont have been re-opened to traffic at this time.

 

Further information is that a tractor trailer was involved in the crash which is being investigated as a hit and run. There were no injuries and Troopers are continuing their investigation.

DSP News Release:  Troopers on scene of Motor Vehicle Crash

 

Location: I-495 southbound at the I-95 split, Claymont, DE

 

Date and Time of Occurrence: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at approximately 1:45 p.m.

 

Resume:   

Claymont, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently at the scene of a motor vehicle crash on I-495 southbound at the I-95 split in Claymont. Initial information is that the crash was a hit and run and that it currently has all lanes of southbound I-495 closed. Traffic is being diverted onto I-95 southbound. Commuters should expect delays in the area and are asked to find alternate means of travel.
