DSP News Release:  Seaford Man Sought for Domestic Assault

Long Neck-Delaware State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jeremy L. Showell-24 of Seaford.  Showell is wanted for a domestic related incident which occurred Wednesday February 23^rd in Long Neck Delaware. 

State Police were contacted by the victim who provided information concerning a domestic involving her boyfriend Jeremy Showell.  Showell and the victim were involved in an argument at a Long Neck area gas station.  When the victim attempted to escape from Showell he walked to the side of her car and shattered a window. 

Showell entered the victim’s car and they drove to a second gas station at the intersection of SR 5 and SR 24 John J. Williams Highway Long Neck Delaware.  While at the service station Showell struck the victim’s face with his hand.  The victim received a bruised eye and facial abrasions, however did not require medical treatment.   

The victim being unable to exit the car with her children safely was driven to Salisbury Maryland where Showell then fled.  While driving to Salisbury Showell prevented the victim from using her cellular phone to call for help. 

Delaware State Police is seeking the public’s help in finding Jeremy Showell.
