Resume:

Dover/Felton/Magnolia-Delaware State Police over the last month have investigated a number of metal storm grate thefts around Kent County.  The thefts occurred mostly in developments still under construction where the streets are unfinished.  The investigations revealed that thieves were removing 200 lb metal storm grates and selling them to scrap metal businesses for cash.

Thursday February 24, 2011 State Police charged Bruce A. Logan for the theft of approximately 30 metal storm grates from 8 different developments around Dover, Felton and Magnolia.  Logan was linked to these thefts after he was stopped on at least two occasions and found to have large quantities of assorted scrap metal in the rear of his pick up truck.  This information along with other additional investigative evidence assisted in developing Logan as a suspect.

Logan is alleged to have received over $2300.00 for the storm grates sold to area scrap metal businesses from January 5th thru February 17, 2011.  Logan after being arraigned was released on $8,700 unsecured bond.
