STATE POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP IN LOCATING FUGITIVE


DSP News Release:  State Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Fugitive

  • 14 years of age when incident 1st began (Female) Sussex County

 

Suspect(s):  

  • Lorne F. Kennedy-38 (current age)

 

Last Known Address:

  • Ties to Sussex County Delaware and Federalsburg Maryland

 

Active Arrest Warrants:

  • 64 counts of Rape Fourth Degree
  • Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Lincoln/Georgetown-Delaware State Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating fugitive Lorne F. Kennedy-38 a man with ties to Sussex County Delaware as well as Federalsburg Maryland. 

 

Kennedy has active warrants consisting of 64 counts of Rape Fourth Degree and 1 count each of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

 

State Police detectives began investigating allegations of inappropriate sexual contact with a 14 year old Sussex County teen in January of this year.  During the investigations detectives discovered that Kennedy and the teen forged a relationship which started shortly after the victim turned 14 years of age.  The relationship spanned approximately 21 months.
