DSP News Release: Delaware Probation and Parole Check Leads to Drug and Money Seizure

Resume: Magnolia-Delaware State Police Tuesday February 15, 2011 charged three Magnolia Delaware residents with drug crimes following a probation check conducted by the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Officers.
Probation and Parole Officers initially made contact with the occupants at the Woodville Drive residence in order to perform a probation check on Steven O’Neal. When Probation and Parole Officers entered the residence they observed a quantity of marijuana on a kitchen table.
A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 31 grams of marijuana, a bong containing marijuana residue, two digital scales and $5,000.00 United States Currency.
Four children ages 2, 5, 6, and 12 were inside the Magnolia residence and had access to the marijuana located on the kitchen counter.
Steven O’Neal, Derrick and Ida Mosley were all charged with Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping Controlled Substances, Conspiracy Second Degree, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Steven O’Neal was arraigned and remanded to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $4,500 secured bond. Derrick and Ida Mosley were both arraigned and released on $4,500 unsecured bond.
