DSP News Release: State Police Probe Pizza Delivery Robbery

Resume: Millsboro-Delaware State Police Wednesday February 9, 2011 investigated a robbery of a Grotto’s Pizza delivery person. The investigation revealed that the 53 year old delivery man was scheduled to deliver two pizzas to a residence on the 32000 block of Captain’s Way in the Captain’s Grant Development Millsboro Delaware.
The victim exited his vehicle to obtain the pizzas when he was approached from behind by a white male over 6 feet in height and weighing between 195 and 205 lbs. The suspect then displayed a kitchen style knife and demanded money from the victim.
After the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money he then fled to a 4 tan colored sedan. The victim followed the suspect vehicle as it drove northbound on SR 5 Oak Orchard Road however was unable to obtain a vehicle registration. The victim lost sight of the tan vehicle when it made a U-turn and began traveling southbound on SR 5 Oak Orchard Road.
