Resume:

Magnolia-Delaware State Police investigated two traffic crashes yesterday February 10, 2011 involving the same driver.  State Police were first notified of a crash at the intersection of Millchop Lane and Peachtree Run Magnolia Delaware.

The operators involved in the crash were Deborah Windsor of Frederica and Billy J. England of Felton Delaware.  The first crash materialized as Windsor was stopped at a stop sign on Millchop Lane.  England was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pick up truck southbound on Millchop approaching Windsor’s 1992 Ford Crown Victoria.  England failed to observe Windsor stopped at a stop sign and crashed into the rear of her vehicle.

Following the crash England immediately left the crash scene and entered the nearby neighborhood of Meadowbrook Acres Magnolia.  Witnesses to the crash followed England and were able to give investigative information to 911 dispatchers which assisted in the apprehension of England.

Troopers were directed to the area of Grays Lane and Flint Drive where they observed England’s pick up truck with extensive front end damage and smoke spewing from it.  As the 8 year veteran Troop 3 Officer approached England’s vehicle, England placed his pick up truck into reverse and crashed into the front end of the State Police Cruiser.

England was taken into custody and charged with his 5th Offense Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and other related offenses.  England was later incarcerated into the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $6,700 secured bond.
