DSP News Release: State Police Probing Graffiti Crime in Rehoboth Community

Resume: Rehoboth-Delaware State Police are currently investigating a graffiti crime that occurred between Tuesday February 8th and Thursday February 10, 2011.
The graffiti is occurring in an area of Rehoboth referred to as West Rehoboth just off of Coastal Highway. Delaware State Police were first made aware of the graffiti on Wednesday February 9, 2011. A second incident was reported to Delaware State Police on Thursday February 10, 2011.
There are a total of 9 victims of graffiti to buildings, vehicles and sheds. The suspect is believed to have used spray paint in order to commit the crime. Most of the graffiti is a combination of numbers and letters. A few examples are (83 Cripk, W3stsid3 and 8tr3ygangsta)
Delaware State Police are continuing their investigation into the graffiti crime and additionally will investigate whether or not the graffiti is gang related. Delaware State Police are currently investigating the incident as a graffiti crime and are attempting to identify suspects involved in the incident.
The damage of the graffiti art is estimated at $1,700.00
