DETECTIVES PROBE BEAR BANK ROBBERY


DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Bear Bank Robbery

 

Location: Wells Fargo Bank, 1601 Governor’s Place, Bear, DE

 

Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.

 

Victim:  23 year old Newark, DE woman

 

Suspects:  White male, 35-45 years of age, 5’07”-5’10” tall, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a green military style winter coat, black sneakers, and olive green military hat, black glasses, black sneakers, and yellow gloves.

 

Resume:  

Bear- Delaware State Police detectives are investigating the robbery of a Bear area bank that occurred early yesterday afternoon.

 

The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 8, as a male suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank located in the 1600 block of Governor’s Place, Bear, DE. The suspect approached a 23 year old female bank teller and presented her with a demand note for cash. The note implied that the suspect was armed; however, no weapon was displayed. The teller then turned over and undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled the bank in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.
