DSP News Release:  State Police Searching for Milton Assault Suspect

Milton-Delaware State Police Sunday evening February 6, 2011 investigated a domestic assault on the 28000 block of W. Springside Drive Milton Delaware. 

Delaware State Police were called to the Milton residence around 7:45 p.m. and learned of an assault involving a 44 year old victim and her boyfriend James M. Chandler.  During the domestic Chandler is alleged to have pushed the victim to the floor obtained a dog chain and then repeatedly struck the victim on her back and face.  Chandler is also accused of placing the dog chain around the victim’s neck which began to cut off the victim’s airway.  The victim was treated and released following the incident for unspecified injuries.  

Delaware State Police are currently searching for Chandler who fled prior to police arrival and request the public’s assistance in locating him.
