Update Dazzel King Apprehension

Resume Update:

Frederica-Delaware State Police Thursday evening February 3, 2011 executed two search warrants attempting to apprehend Dazzel and Robert King.  Delaware State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Canterbury Road Felton near US 13.  Delaware State Police at the Canterbury residence apprehended Dazzel King without incident. 

The second residence searched was located in High Point Mobile Home Park Magnolia Delaware.  Delaware State Police obtained information suggesting Robert King the brother of Dazzel King as frequenting the Magnolia location.  However Robert King was not located at the Magnolia residence.

Dazzel King was charged with:

•  Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
• Possession or Control of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
• Aggravated Menacing
• Conspiracy Second Degree
• James T. Vaughn Correctional Center $37,500 secured bond

Delaware State Police are still seeking information as to the whereabouts of Robert King and ask the public to contact authorities if he is seen.  Callers may remain anonymous.  Frederica-Delaware State Police Wednesday February 2, 2011 arrested a Felton man following an altercation with a 23 year old Frederica man involving a gun.  The incident occurred on the unit block of Jackson Street Frederica Delaware around 5:37 p.m.

Delaware State Police responded to a “shots fired” complaint on Jackson Street where gun fired was reported to have erupted.  Delaware State Police while investigating the incident learned that three subjects Jamane A. Gantt, Dazzel and Robert King arrived in a tan colored Nissan sedan and stopped in front of a residence on Jackson Street where the victim was standing. 

Delaware State Police additionally learned that Dazzel King a rear seat passenger is alleged to have fired a single barreled shotgun from the rear of the car in the direction of the victim.  The King brothers and Gantt then exited the Nissan and began chasing the victim.  Gantt is also alleged to have brandished a handgun as all three chased the victim.  

Later Wednesday evening Delaware State Police apprehended Gantt and charged him with weapons and related crimes.  Gantt was remanded to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $37,500 secured bond. 

Delaware State Police are still searching for Dazzel and Robert King of Frederica and seek the publics help.  Callers may remain anonymous.
