DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Attempted Robbery of Wilmington Store
Location: 7-11 Convenience Store, 4865 Governor Printz Blvd., Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: Friday, February 4, 2011 at 12:20 a.m.
Victim: 43 year old Wilmington, DE man
Suspects:
Suspect 1: Black male, 6’00”-6’01” tall, 170-180 lbs, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, and a face mask. He was also armed with a handgun.
Suspect 2: Black male, 5’06”-5’07” tall, 160-170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a face mask, and a black knit cap on his head.
Resume: Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are looking for two suspects who attempted to rob a Wilmington area convenience store early this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. this morning as a 43 year old male employee of the 7-11 Store located in the 4800 block of Governor Printz Boulevard, observed two male suspects approach the entrance of the store from the side of the building. The suspects, one of which was armed with a handgun, then attempted to enter the store by pulling on the doors. They, however, were not successful due to the fact that the doors were locked. The suspects then fled and were last seen running behind the business. The clerk was not injured.
