DSP News Release:  Two Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash

Wilmington- Two Wilmington residents were slightly injured in an accident that occurred this morning in Wilmington.

The incident occurred as David M. Mulvena, 26, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer and was traveling southbound on Montchanin Road at Summit Lane in Wilmington. Mulvena lost control of his vehicle after driving over a patch of ice and crossed into the northbound lane of Montchanin Road where it struck the front of a 2004 GMC Envoy that was being operated by Valery Doubet.

Valery Doubet was transported by a privately owned vehicle to the Christiana Hospital where she was treated for non life threatening injuries. David Mulvena was transported from the scene by EMS to the Christiana Hospital where he was also treated for non life threatening injuries. David Mulvena was cited by troopers for careless driving.
