Detectives were able to identify Hall and Finner as suspects in the string of robberies that have occurred in Ocean View, Millville, and Selbyville, after they viewed video surveillance footage that they had obtained from a business adjacent to Holts Liquors in Ocean View, which had been robbed on December 23rd. From the video, detectives were able to identify a maroon Isuzu Rodeo with a Delaware registration and a missing piece of wheel trim as being a possible suspect vehicle.
On Thursday, December 29, an officer from the Ocean View Delaware Police Department located a maroon Isuzu Rodeo with a missing piece of wheel trim located in a driveway in the 31000 block of Railway Avenue, in Ocean View. The officer, who was familiar with the residence as well as the occupants of the home, advised detectives that Tervone Hall was one of the people who resided in the home. Hall closely matched the description of the male suspect who had committed the six armed robberies. Detectives then obtained a search warrant for the residence.
During the execution of the search warrant evidence linking Tervone Hall to the armed robberies was located. Further investigation revealed that Sara Finner was the operator of the Isuzu Trooper during the robbery of Holts Liquors on December 23rd.
