DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Kirkwood Highway Robbery 

 

Location:

·         Country Farms Food Store (parking lot), 1706 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Friday, December 23, 2011 at 8:30 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         30 year old female

 

Suspect:

·         White male, 20-30 years old, 5’08”-5’11” tall, 180-210 lbs, average build. Last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with hood pulled up over head (no further description). Suspect armed with an unknown type handgun.

Resume:

Wilmington-Troopers are investigating the robbery of a woman that occurred in the parking lot of the Country Farms Food Store last evening.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. last night in the parking lot of the Country Farms Food Store on Kirkwood Highway, west of Elsmere. The 30 year old female victim parked her car in the parking lot and was walking to the entrance of the food store.  The victim noticed that the store was closed and returned to her vehicle. The victim got back into her car when she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded her cash and property. The victim complied and turned over her purse. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with the victim’s purse which contained cash and personal property. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
