DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Ocean View Liquor Store Robbery

·         Holts Liquors, 34903 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, DE

Date of Occurrence:

·         Friday, December 23, 2011 at 6:15 p.m.

Victim:

·         26 year old female employee

Suspect:

·         Black male, unknown age, 5’06”-5’08” tall, 160-180 lbs. Last seen wearing dark colored jacket and jeans, ski mask covering face. Suspect armed with unknown type handgun.

·         No surveillance photo’s available at this time.

Resume:

Ocean View-Troopers are investigating the armed robbery of Holts Liquors located in Ocean View, which occurred last evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. last night as a male suspect entered Holts Liquors located on Atlantic Avenue and confronted the female employee who was located behind the sales counter.  The suspect displayed a handgun, pointed it at the female victim and demanded money. The victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
