DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Prices Corner Strong Armed Robbery

• Rite Aid Pharmacy (parking lot) , 3209 Kirkwood Highway (Prices Corner), Wilmington, DE

Date of Occurrence:

• Monday, December 19, 2011 at 12:50 p.m.

Victims:

• 24 year old Wilmington man

Suspect:

·         White male, unknown age, 5’08”, 180-200 lbs. Last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and had face covered with dark ski mask.

Prices Corner-Troopers are investigating the strong armed robbery of a 24 year old man as he was leaving a local pharmacy earlier this afternoon.

The incident occurred on Monday, December 19, 2011 at approximately 12:50 p.m. as the 24 year old male victim was exiting the Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 3209 Kirkwood Highway.  The victim was approached from behind by a male suspect that forcibly grabbed a bag of prescription medication that the vicitm had just received from the pharmacy. A struggle ensued and the suspect was able to remove the bag from the victim and fled on foot towards Greenbank Road. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
