DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Magnolia Robbery

 

Location: Ernie’s Corner Store, 1246 Peachtree Run, Magnolia, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  Monday, December 12, 2011 at 8:10 p.m.

 

Suspect:  

 

  • Male subject, 5’10”-6’00” tall, 175-185 lbs, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a blue and green plaid jacket with a hood, blue jeans, a tan or brown ski mask, and brown gloves. He was also armed with a handgun.
  • Video surveillance is not available.

 

Victim:

 

  • 56 year old female employee

Magnolia, DE- The Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Magnolia convenience store that occurred last night.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Monday as a male suspect entered Ernie’s Corner Store located in the 1200 block of Peachtree Run in Magnolia. The suspect then displayed a silver handgun confronted the 56 year old female employee. He then demanded money from the store cash register. The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. The suspect then left the store and fled in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured.

 

The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the Robbery Unit at Troop 3 at 302-741-2700.
