DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Armed Pharmacy Robbery
Location: · Walgreens Pharmacy, 536 Main Street (Stanton), Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: · Friday, December 9, 2011 at 4:10 p.m.
Victim: · 40 year old female employee
Suspect: · White male, 20-26 years of age, 5’06”-5”09” tall, 150-160 lbs, average build. Last seen wearing dark hooded sweatshirt, tan jacket, dark pants, and dark ski mask covering face. Suspect armed with an unknown type handgun. · No surveillance photo’s available at this time.
Resume: Stanton-Delaware State Police Robbery Detectives are investigating the robbery of the Walgreens Pharmacy located in Stanton, which occurred on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Friday, December 9, 2011 at approximately 4:10 p.m. as the suspect entered the Walgreens Pharmacy located on Main Street. The suspect vaulted the pharmacy counter, displayed a handgun and confronted the 40 year old female employee. The suspect pointed the handgun at the employee and demanded prescription narcotics. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of narcotic medication. The suspect fled the store on foot with the narcotics. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
