Resume: Claymont-Troopers are investigating the strong armed robbery of a McDonalds Restaurant customer, which occurred yesterday afternoon in Claymont.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. inside the McDonalds Restaurant located on Philadelphia Pike. The 20 year old victim was seated at a table inside the restaurant when he was approached by a male suspect that he had met on DART bus earlier the same day. The suspect asked the victim if he had change for a fifty dollar bill. The victim acknowledged that he did have change and handed the suspect the money without the suspect handing over the fifty dollar bill. The suspect began to walk towards the exit with the victim’s cash. The victim confronted the suspect and a struggle ensued with the victim being pushed to the floor. The suspect fled on foot with the cash, last seen running across Philadelphia Pike. The victim received minor injuries from the assault.
