ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ASSAULT BRANMAR PLAZA


DSP News Release: Attempted Robbery/Assault Branmar Plaza 

 

Location:

·         Branmar Plaza (rear driveway behind the Superfresh Food Store), 1812 Marsh Road, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 2:30 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         44 year old Wilmington man

 

Suspect:

·         3 suspects with an unknown description. One suspect armed with a baseball bat.

 

Resume:

North Wilmington-Troopers are investigating the attempted robbery and assault of a 44 year old man that occurred yesterday afternoon at the Branmar Plaza.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. as the 44 year old victim was walking in the rear driveway of the Superfresh Store located in the Branmar Plaza.  The victim was approached from behind by 3 suspects, struck with a baseball bat and fell to the ground.  The suspects continued to kick him as they rifled through his pockets.  The suspects fled on foot empty handed in an unknown direction. The victim suffered minor injuries from the assault.
