Resume: Seaford, De-Paul D. Parker Jr-30 of Bridgeville was arrested following an assault against his girlfriend on August 27th. The assault occurred around 6:16 a.m. Saturday morning at the victim’s Garden Lane Seaford Delaware home.
Parker and the 25 year old Seaford woman were in the kitchen of her residence when they bumped into each other. After the physical contact Parker and the victim engaged in a verbal argument over this, and other unspecified issues.
The 25 year old victim following the argument walked into the living room followed by Parker. Parker then is alleged to have punched the victim several times about her head.
Parker during the assault removed a pocket knife and held it against the victim’s face threatening bodily harm. When the victim attempted to break free from Parker’s grasp she sustained a puncture wound to her nose caused by the pocket knife.
When Troopers arrived on scene they observed the victim was covered with blood, however she did not require medical treatment. The victim advised responding Troopers that Parker fled the home prior to their arrival. Two girls ages 7 and 8 were present during the domestic assault however were unharmed.
On Monday August 29, 2011 a Trooper on routine patrol spotted Parker riding in the passenger seat of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The Trooper having knowledge of Parker’s active warrant conducted a traffic stop on the Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Parker was taken into custody without incident.
Parker following arraignment on Assault charges and related crimes was remanded to the Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $36,550.00 secured bond.
