DSP News Release: Shots Fired During Convenience Store Robbery

Resume: Hartly, De-Delaware State Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured in a Hartly Delaware convenience store robbery.
The robbery on August 19th occurred at the Royal Farms Convenience store located on Halltown Road E/O Hartly Delaware around 5:00 a.m. The black male suspect entered the convenience store brandishing a handgun and demanding money.
During the robbery the suspect fired several shots inside the store in the area of 5 store employees. None of the victims were injured. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and 20 cartons of Newport cigarettes before fleeing the store.
The suspect exited the store and entered a silver passenger car then traveled northbound on Pearson’s Corner Road to an unknown destination.
