Resume: Georgetown-Georgetown Police Department and the Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating an August 10th crash that claimed the life of Harold L. Robinson-73 of Georgetown Delaware.
The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. on US 113 S/O Wilson Road limits of Georgetown as Robinson was traveling northbound. Robinson was riding his 2004 Yamaha motorcycle when a tractor trailer in a southbound turn lane of US 113 is alleged to have pulled into Robinson’s path.
Robinson lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected striking a number of mailboxes.
Statements originally obtained from Robinson advised the tractor trailer driver stopped to assist after the crash. Robinson declined police or medical assistance and continued on to his residence following the crash.
When Robinson arrived home his medical condition diminished and an ambulance was called to his residence by a friend. Robinson was transported to Beebe Hospital and admitted for multiple rib fractures and related injuries.
Delaware State Police was notified that Robinson died at 5:11 a.m. on August 15th from injuries sustained in the August 10th crash. Delaware State Police have not been able to identify the tractor trailer driver who assisted Robinson following the crash. State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is asking the pubic to contact them at 302-644-5020 ext 112 with information related to this investigation. |
