DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Attempted Burger King Robbery
Location: · Burger King Restaurant, 3607 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: · Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:00 p.m.
Victim: · 18 year old female employee · 26 year old female employee
Suspect: · White Male, 20-30 years of age, 6’0”-6’03” tall, 190-200 lbs, last seen wearing brown jacket, blue jeans, and a dark mask covering his face. Suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun.
Resume: Wilmington-The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday evening at the Burger King Restaurant located at 3607 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. as the suspect entered the restaurant and confronted the two female employees at the front counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The employees were unable to open the register. The suspect fled empty handed toward the rear of the business. No injuries reported in this incident.
