UPDATE, POLICE ACTIVITY IN LAUREL VILLAGE HAS CONCLUDED

DSP News Release: Police Activity in Laurel Village has Concluded
Resume: Laurel- The Delaware State Police activity in the Laurel Village Trailer Park has concluded. At approximately 12:45 p.m. the male occupant of a residence located in the 10000 block of Dogwood Road, exited his home on his own. He was then taken into custody by the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team without incident. The subject was then transported from the scene to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for a medical evaluation.
There were no injuries in this incident which is still under investigation by the Delaware State Police. It has not been determined if charges will be filed at this point. The residents who were evacuated from their homes as this incident was occurring have been allowed to return to their residences.

DSP News Release: Police Activity Laurel Village Laurel Delaware

Resume: Laurel-Delaware State Police are currently on scene of an incident in the 10000 block of Dogwood Road Laurel Delaware located within Laurel Village Mobile Home Park.
The incident was reported to police are 8:49 a.m. and initially involved a check the welfare complaint. Preliminary information suggests the male’s condition is such that there is a rear concern for his welfare.
Delaware State Police have established a perimeter around the residence and have evacuated area residents. The residence sits approximately 200 feet off of US 13 between Boyce and Camp Roads Laurel.
Delaware State Police are attempting to make contact with the individual and continuously evaluate the situation. Additional information will be disseminated as the situation unfolds. Currently there are no injuries related to this situation.
Cpl/3 Jeffrey Hale is currently on scene and will establish a media staging area. The staging area information is forthcoming.
