The crash was reported around 10:19 p.m.  The investigation revealed that Eddie D. Smith Sr. of New Castle was heading westbound Delaware Route 4 on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle approaching Stanton Road.  Smith failed to negotiate a sharp bend in the roadway, and then struck two concrete islands before being ejected from his motorcycle.
