MIDDLETOWN WOMAN INJURED IN ONE VEHICLE CRASH

DSP News Release: Middletown Woman Injured in One Vehicle Crash
Location: Hyett’s Corner Road, .1 mile east of Jamison’s Corner Road, Middletown, DE
Date of Occurrence: Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 5:20 p.m.

Resume: Middletown- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a one vehicle roll over crash in which a Middletown woman was injured that occurred this afternoon in Middletown.
The accident happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. as Paula Landry, 62, was operating a 2008 Jeep Wrangler and was traveling westbound on Hyett’s Corner Road in Middletown. Landry’s vehicle began to slide on the wet road and left the south edge of the roadway, striking an embankment. The vehicle then traveled into a field where it overturned onto its driver’s side and came to rest.
Paula Landry was transported from the scene by State Police helicopter and flown to the Christiana Hospital where she was treated for non life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
